1. Place apple in a small saucepan, cover with water; bring to the boil, reduce heat and simmer until just tender. Drain, reserving ½ cup (125mL) cooking liquid.
2. Combine apple and mango in a food processor or blender; blend until smooth, adding some reserved cooking liquid for a thinner consistency if required.
TIP: For convenient quantities, place puree into ice cube trays and freeze. Each cube is equal to about 1 tablespoonful, which is just right for babies just starting out.
